 Sensei Jackson's martial arts training began with the discovery of Rhee Taekwondo in Goulburn, where he spent many years pursuing and achieving his 1st Dan Black Belt. However, the trajectory of his journey took a turn upon discovering Okinawan Goju-ryu Karate under the internationally esteemed Sensei David Lambert Jr at the equally famous Lambert Karate Dojo and Family Fitness Centre. His commitment and dedication ultimately led to a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Karate.

Refining his skill and knowledge, Sensei 'Jack' regularly visits other dojos across Australia and has taught alongside the most talented and inspiring karatekas in the world. His Karate career often leads him back to Okinawa, Japan, the very birthplace of Karate, where he had the opportunity to immerse himself in the culture and history of the art and teachings of the world's most senior masters.

Sensei Jack is no stranger to testing his karate skills; as a multiple-time winner of the AOGKF National Black Belt Kumite title, he stands among the select few who have earned such acclaim.

Beyond the dojo, Sensei Jackson brings his knowledge within the realm of education. As a school teacher in both mainstream and special needs settings, he humbly recognizes the diversity of his students' needs. This profound understanding serves as the foundation for creating a Karate environment that is not just about physical prowess but also about fostering personal growth and empowerment. His passion and hope are to share the wonderful experiences that Australian Okinawan Go-Ju Ryu has to offer.
