training to improve his fitness, build self-confidence, and learn self-defence after
experiencing bullying throughout his school years due to his disabilities.
He has trained for many years at the Crookwell and Goulburn dojos under the guidance of
Sensei David Lambert. Over time, Senpai Kyle has become a dedicated teacher and assistant
instructor, regularly helping with classes for Grasshoppers, Pee-wees, teens, and adults at
both dojos.
Senpai Kyle has also traveled to Okinawa, Japan, to learn and study Goju-ryu karate under
some of the world’s most senior and respected masters. He actively participates in all
Gasshukus and Friendship Tournaments, continually expanding his knowledge and skills.
Today, Senpai Kyle assists Senpai Justin Thompson at the Crookwell Karate Dojo and Family

knowledge and understanding he has gained over his years of training.
He empathizes with students who may find learning karate challenging, as he has faced and
overcome many obstacles himself. His perseverance and determination continue to inspire
those around him.
Senpai Kyle values the strong sense of community within the dojo, the Australian Okinawan
Goju-ryu Karate Federation (AOJKF), and the International Okinawan Goju-ryu Karate-do
